Trying to format your system can be when you encounter some forms of problem or you want to add something to your computer window
You can Format Your System to do some of these things

To remove Virus from your system

To create partition for your system

To use different windows on your system

Formatting windows computer, with Microsoft Window XP, can be done when you get the CD plate for the Windows XP of any version and insert it to your computer CD ROM and try to restart the computer.

While restating the computer, an option will be displayed on the screen of your computer set asking you to” press any key to boot from the CD” plate immediately press any button on your computer keyboard before the text will disappear and if it does it will boot as a normal system then you need to restart it again.

After that particular operation then you now need to concentrate on your computer status bar.
After the system finish loading the setup which is displaying on the status bar, at the top of the computer set it will display “welcome to setup”  and list a lot of options for you, as I earlier told you now need to concentrate on the status bar of the computer set.

At the status bar, you will see some options this way

ENTER = Continue, R=Repair, F3=Quit

All you need to do at this stage is just to hit your Enter Button and continue the operation. After that particular stage at the status bar it will ask you to press the F8 button to agree to the terms and conditions that is to accept the terms and condition then just press it and continue the operation.
After that particular stage as well, then at the status bar once again it will display options for you to choose, shows this way
F3 = Quit, R = Repair, ESC = Don’t Repair

Press the escape button to disagree with the Repair option then continue.
After that particular operation then the system will ask you to choose the partition to be formatted.
Normally it has to be the C:\ (local Disk), which contains all the files on your computer set, but if there are two partition there or more, then select the one that you wish to format but normally is the C:\ partition.

Note
You need to use the arrow key to select any thing during the formatting operations.

After the scrolling down to the partition that you wish to format then look down at the status bar and you will still see some options in there as usual

ENTER = Install, D = Delete, F3 = Quit

Press the D button or key on your computer keyboard to delete the partitions
The status shows another option once again

ENTER = Continue, ESC = Cancel

Then press the Enter button to continue the operation
The status change again for some options

L = Delete, ESC = Cancel

Press the L button to continue the formatting operation
This will now lead you to an option which ask you to press

ENTER = Install, C = Create Partition, F3 = Quit

Press the Enter Button to install the windows that you are using to format the system which is on the CD plate you inserted into the CD ROM

At the status bar the computer start examining the CD Plate, after the examination then it will bring before you a list of options asking either to

  • Format the partition using the NTFS File System (Quick)
  • Format the partition using the NTF File System

Then you need to select the second option if your computer did not select it automatically for you, select it by using the arrow button to scroll to it.

At the status you will be displayed with some options

ENTER = Continue, ESC = Cancel

Use the enter key by pressing it and then the system begins to format.
This will start from 0% to 100% and will do that for two times. Normally the first one is longer than the second one.

After that then your system will be restarted and then brings you back to the installation menu which you have to install like when you are installing software on your PC.

Note during the restarting of the system then the text which showed before on the screen of your computer set will be displayed again but now you need not to press any button just leave it and it will take you to the normal destination

And installing this will take you not less than 36 minutes.
Note you have to get the SERIAL NUMBER ready and you have to fill all the information in there

After that then the computer will be restarted and you have to remove the CD PLATE and continue
